Sooji Cutlet

Easy peasy #cutlet, doesn’t consume a lot of time. Makes a great evening snack, absolutely #toddlerfriendly #babyfriendly. Rahyl enjoys this a lot with #chutney, this made to his dabba quite a few times.

Ingredients:

1 cup sooji/bombay rava
2 cups water
1 cup chopped veggies of your choice (I used grated carrot, chopped onions and capsicum)
1 tsp Jeera
1 tsp grated ginger
Salt to taste
Green chillies to taste
Coriander leaves

Method:

Take water in a big bowl, let it come to a boil and then add veggies to it. Let it come to a boil again, then add sooji to it and mix well. Ensure no lumps are formed. Cover and cook for 2 minutes. Turn off the flame, keep the dough covered and let it cool down.
Once its cool enough to handle with hands. Knead it well to make a smooth dough. Make cutlets out of it, roll them into breadcrumbs or murmure powder and pan fry or deep fry them. Serve it with chutney or ketchup.


Notes:

* Add green chillies and coriander leaves while kneading.

* I took out a portion for Rahyl and then added chillies.

* I pan fried them using very little oil. You can also make this in appepan.

* Sooji and water ratio is 1:2.
